Moving On (Primary/6th class)

Moving on from Primary to Post-primary is exciting but it can also be a challenge.

This workshop is created for 6th class students to discuss their hopes and fears through drama as they prepare for the journey ahead.

This empowering workshop is based around ideas of journeys and travel, and takes inspiration from the graphic novel “The Arrival” by Shaun Tan.

Participants are invited to explore the transition from Primary and to Post-primary and to consider what skills might be needed for the journey they are about to take.

Using theatre games and drama techniques the students can prepare for the transition by exploring ways to navigate potential challenges, embrace new opportunities and celebrate the work they have achieved so far
