Graffiti’s Irish language work is recognised and produced on an equal level to all of the other work of the company: our Irish language work is a central pillar of our company’s work.
The company believes that Irish-speaking children and young people have a right to access high quality arts in Irish. In addition, the company believes that it is an advantage and an enriching experience for audiences with little Irish also to access high quality Irish language arts experiences.
Síle Ní Bhroin, Associate Director of the Company, is responsible for Graffiti’s Irish language work, in partnership with the Artistic Director and the whole team.
The company’s Irish language work is woven through all aspects of our activities for the past twenty years – Irish language and bilingual productions, Irish language workshops, Creative Writing through Irish (Fighting Words and Young Playwrights) and support materials.
We welcome correspondence through Irish and working through Irish with other organisations and individuals. Irish is visible on the company’s various platforms and social media.
Publicity materials relating to the Irish language work will be printed bilingually. Irish language media are prioritised when publicising our Irish language or bilingual productions.
The company is committed to seeking new opportunities to expand and develop the Irish language work of the company.
