Walking Man/An Fear Siúil

By Jody O’Neill · Age: 8+

Walking Man/An Fear Siúil tells the tale of a man who has spent his whole life in pursuit of success. He has always rushed headlong through life, determined to follow in his father’s footsteps to the best job on the top floor of the tallest building in the whole city. And when he has done all that, with Walking Woman and little Walking Baby at his side, something doesn’t feel quite right…

So, Walking Man must go on an entirely new journey, which takes him far from home.

Walking Man/An Fear Siúil is a charming allegory, which will captivate its audience. With the help of an original live music score, the actor brings us into the miniature world of the Walking Man, a tiny wooden figure.

Dráma le Compántas Amharclannaíochta Graffiti le Jody O’Neill, leagan Gaeilge le Síle Ní Bhroin.

Is beag an domhan é seo ach is mór an scéal. Bíonn an Fear Siúil i gcónaí ag siúl. Brostaíonn sé ó seo go siúd, gan suaimhneas gan scíth, gan stopadh gan sos. Oibríonn sé go dian mar a athair roimhe i dtreo an urláir is airde san fhoirgneamh is mó sa chathair ar fad. Ach, lá amháin, dúisíonn an Fear Siúil agus tá mothú aisteach ann istigh. Imíonn sé ar turas nua, i bhfad ón mbealach abhaile, ar thóir rud éigean nach dtuigeann sé go fóill… Léiriú mealltach meafarach ar chroí an duine é seo. Le ceol nua-chumtha beo, téimid ar turas leis an aisteoir go dtí domhain an fhir shiúil.
