Take a Seat at Graffiti Terms & Conditions
Yes, this is the terms and conditions bit. We promise to keep it simple. Here are a few practical things to know before you Take a Seat.
Your donation and your chair
Take a Seat is a charitable fundraising campaign for Graffiti Theatre Company (Charity No: 20022082). In recognition of your €250 charitable contribution, Graffiti may acknowledge your support by displaying your chosen name or dedication on a label on a chair within our venue for one year.
This acknowledgement is non-exclusive, confers no proprietary, commercial or advertising rights, and may be altered or removed by Graffiti at its discretion.
The chair remains the property of Graffiti. Taking a Seat does not give you ownership of the chair or a reserved seat at performances or events.
Our chairs move around Graffiti and are used for performances, youth theatre, workshops, writing, rehearsals and other activities, so we can’t guarantee where your labelled chair will be at any particular time.
Choosing your name or dedication
Your label can include up to 55 characters, including spaces, and might be your own name, a family or business name, a dedication to someone special or a name in memory of someone.
All names and dedications are subject to approval by Graffiti, and we have final say on the wording displayed on our chairs. We may ask you to choose alternative wording, or decline a name, dedication, business or organisation name, if we consider it discriminatory, defamatory, obscene, political, offensive, misleading or otherwise inappropriate for display in an organisation working with children and young people, or inconsistent with Graffiti’s values or charitable purpose.
Business names are very welcome, but their inclusion is an acknowledgement of charitable support and does not constitute advertising, endorsement, or commercial sponsorship.
Photographs and public acknowledgement
We’ll send you a photograph of your labelled chair in use at Graffiti where practicable. As our chairs are always on the move, we can’t guarantee a particular setting or activity.
Your labelled chair may appear in images on the Graffiti social media channels and website during the course of the year as well as any third parties using the space for workshops or events. We may also acknowledge your chosen name or dedication on our website and social media.
Keeping in touch and renewing your seat
We’ll use the contact details you provide to administer your Take a Seat donation, send you your photograph, and send occasional updates relating to the campaign.
Before your year comes to an end, we’ll also get in touch to give you the first opportunity to renew for another year. If you choose not to renew, the label will be removed and the seat will become available again.
Any consent to receive Graffiti’s general news or marketing communications will be asked for separately when you fill out the Take a Seat form.
Availability
There are 55 Take a Seat places available. Your place is confirmed once your €250 donation has been successfully completed.
Graffiti retains final discretion over the administration of Take a Seat and may alter or remove an acknowledgement where reasonably necessary.
Thank you for taking a seat at Graffiti, and for helping us keep creativity accessible to children and young people.
