Exciting Opportunity for Young People!

This May, Graffiti Theatre is partnering with our good pals at West Cork Music to present another brilliant series of workshops for young people aged 15-19, as part of the READ ON EU project.

We’re inviting young people to take part in our “Passports” project,  a series of workshops with published authors whose work had been impacted by their culture and sense of identity. We’ll be reading some of these pieces, chatting about them, workshopping them, and then we’ll meet the authors!

We are looking for young people who are interested in reading and would like to

  1. Read something new
  2. Meet new people
  3. Take part in workshops
  4. Have an opportunity to meet the author, and ask them any burning questions you have about their work!

The workshops and discussions will take place in May of this year, and will be facilitated by Graffiti Theatre facilitators, via Zoom.  There will be a number of different authors and workshops, so plenty of opportunity to get involved!

It’s FREE to take part, and any reading materials will be provided for you.

Still not sure? Maybe check out some of last year’s READ ON Events to see how awesome they were! Head to West Cork Music or Graffiti’s Youtube channel to view the recordings of our interview workshops, like this one  we did with Juno Dawson on her brilliant  book “Meat Market”.

What do you need to do now?

If you are aged 15 -19,

have access to a device and can access Zoom,

and you’re interested in taking part,

contact Julie from Graffiti at:

julie@graffiti.ie before Friday the 16th of April to find out more!
