Here at Graffiti we would like to take the time to celebrate the amazing volunteers who dedicate their time to our Fighting Words Creative Writing workshops every week.
We would not be able to run our workshops without them. They provide vital support to the students we work with by giving their time, hearing their stories and above all else respond so enthusiastically to the wildly inventive stories that young people visiting Graffiti Theatre create.
Their support means that every child who attends the workshop gets heard and has an opportunity to create. Through scribing for young people who may find writing a challenge, listening to individual’s stories and encouraging their work, the volunteers make a creative environment where the joy of storytelling is celebrated.

Are you interested in becoming a Creative Writing volunteer?
If you are over 18 and interested in volunteering with Fighting Words we would love to hear from you;
You don’t need any prior experience.
Anyone who enjoys working in a creative environment with young people- and is a good listener – is welcome to volunteer.
No minimum volunteer hours are required.
Volunteer only when and if it suits you, but be warned it can be addictive!
