On Friday, thanks to the great people over at CreativeIrl, an Taoiseach paid us us a visit to see one of our Fighting Wordss workshops in action. Former teacher turned student for the afternoon, the Taoiseach sat in on a Fighting Words creative writing workshop with members of our Activate Juniors, facilitated by our workshop super-team of Kel, Fiona and Marie illustrating via Zoom, developing characters and creating their own stories.

The Taoiseach was then shown around Graffiti by Ben, a member of Activate and new official Graffiti tour guide, where they also dropped in on rehearsals for Activate Seniors’ upcoming filming of their adaptation of Cethan Leahy’s Tuesdays are Just as Bad.

The Taoiseach got to speak to various young people and members of the Graffiti family about our work and the important role that the arts plays in the lives of children and young people.Thanks a mil. also to actor and facilitator @Shane Casey and writer Sheila O’Flanagan for joining us and sharing their experiences of Graffiti and Fightings words with the Taoiseach.
