And that can only mean one thing! Your school is due a VISIT from Graffiti!!

Our Creative Learning Team at Graffiti have been busy planning a new series of theatre workshops to offer primary school classes and their teachers.
As Graffiti celebrates 40 years, we have focussed on the elements of our work that excite us most, and designed our workshop programme in response.
All of our workshops for schools have fun and creativity at the core, and are designed to amplify the voices of children, boosting their confidence and giving them an opportunity to discover a new skill. They are great for exploring new themes or topics, and for making connections with the drama curriculum.
We use our expertise in theatre to collaborate with children and teachers, and our workshops can be designed to suit the class groups interests or needs.
Workshop series
DISCOVER is an invitation to play and try new things. It draws on what we do in our weekly Youth Theatre workshops : using drama games and theatre exercises to build skills in teamwork, collaboration, drama and performance.
EXPLORE is a deeper dive into a theme, topic or prompt. We use theatre techniques to research alongside the children, responding and creating together. It draws on what we do when we begin to develop a piece of theatre; exploring from different perspectives using a wide range of activities. The longer series of workshops allows the facilitator to respond to the group’s interests and ideas, building their collaboration skills.
MAKE is an opportunity to discover, explore and make a piece of theatre together, and to present it. Make builds a relationship between Graffiti and the class group, where they can work as co-creators with professional artists. It is a longer engagement, where children have ownership of the project: being active decision makers along the way. It celebrates their voices and builds community.
We can suggest a topic, theme or prompt for these programmes, using our wealth of knowledge and resources, or we can design something new that suits your class group and their interests.
