Play And Present is back, back, back

Sep 11, 2020

We have FOUR Play & Present awards on offer between now and the end of 2020 for those of you developing ideas for young audiences, be they theatre pieces of workshops.

What you receive if your application is successful:

  • 5 days use of the Fitzgibbon theatre or studio space for development  (subject to health and safety restrictions)
  • 1-to-1 mentorship with our Creative Team
  • A facilitated feedback session, pilot audience or focus group, depending on the stage of development of your idea, with our Youth Theatre members  (in person or via Zoom, as health and safety protocol allows)
  • A fee of €600

Here’s some feedback from one of last year’s PLAY & PRESENT participants, ALSA Productions who brought a work in progress of TALL TAIL to the Fitzgibbon theatre in 2019:

“We were so grateful to have the opportunity to avail of the Play and Present Scheme at Graffiti in 2019. Having access to the theatre gave us the space and freedom to explore our play during its development phase. Graffiti was able to facilitate workshops and work-in-progress sharings with young people which had a huge influence on our piece and really informed the finished product.”

If you are interested in taking part, please give us a ring on 021 439 7111 or email us at bookings@graffiti.ie to obtain a short application form for completion before Friday 2nd October.

Awardees will be notified by Monday 19th October 2020

Please share with anyone who you think might benefit from taking part in our artist development bursary.
