This summer, we are partnering with our good pals at West Cork Music to present another great series of workshops for young people aged 15-19, as part of the READ ON EU project.
Are you, or do you a know, a young person who is interested in reading and would like to:
- Read something new
- Meet new people
- Take part in workshops
- Have an opportunity to meet the author, and ask them any burning questions you have about their work!
Over 3 weeks (late June -early July) we’ll be reading and workshopping 3 YA books by 3 brilliant authors. At the end of the project, you’ll have a chance to meet the authors and ask them any burning questions you may have about their work!
The authors and books are:
On Midnight Beach by Marie-Louise Fitzpatrick
Why The Moon Travels by Oein DeBharduin
Hani and Ishu’s Guide to Fake Dating by Adiba Jaigirda
It’s FREE to take part, and any reading materials will be provided for you.
Please note that initial workshops will happen via Zoom but the project will culminate in an in-person event in Cork in early July.
Still not sure?
Check out some of last year’s READ ON Events to see how awesome they were!
Head to West Cork Music or Graffiti’s Youtube channel to view the recordings of our interview workshops, like this one we did with Juno Dawson on her brilliant book “Meat Market”.
What do you need to do now?
If you are aged 15 -19, have access to a device and can access Zoom, and you’re interested in taking part contact Julie from Graffiti at:
julie@graffiti.ie before Friday the 11th of June to find out more!
